Hobbs Granger Roitt supports Young Enterprise in Reading through participation with its Dragons’ Den and supplying judges for their business planning awards and for the local finals. We have also provided support to the ‘young achievers’ via our business planning and financial reporting seminars.
Young Enterprise is a programme we believe in because of the benefits it provides to young people in developing business team-working skills, together with planning and communication skills. It makes the connection between school and the world of work, enabling young people to develop the knowledge and attitudes they need to succeed.
JCI (Junior Chamber International) Thames Valley
Hobbs Granger Roitt, over the years have given time and support to Junior Chamber International, a global, not-for-profit organisation for young people, run by its members for its members.
JCI members are from many different backgrounds, cultures and professions, but all share common values and passion to develop themselves and support and improve their communities. Through workshops and projects, members are able to gain practical experience not always available in their work environments.
Reading University and its internship programme
This programme provides work opportunities for students and a chance for businesses large and small to welcome young talent into their teams giving a boost of energy to a project that has been waiting in the wings to be delivered.
In 2017, Hobbs Granger Roitt took up the chance offered and welcomed a Reading University intern to spend 6 weeks working with our partners on marketing projects. Reading University and its internship programme provides a valuable bridge between existing businesses and the brightest new talent.
